Sun, sand, and stimulating research ☀️🌴

NLP community, look out - we are heading to Palma de Mallorca 😎 👉 for LREC 2026.

Talented PhD students Jakob Fehle, Nils Constantin Hellwig, and Niklas Donhauser from "Media Informatics Regensburg", supervised by Christian Wolff, have been very busy over the past few months. Udo Kruschwitz joined the team, making this a collaborative effort between Media Informatics and Information Science Regensburg.

The result? Three conference papers and one workshop paper - all accepted at LREC 2026 🎉

Here is what we will be presenting:

📄 “LLM-as-an-Annotator: Training Lightweight Models with LLM-Annotated Examples for Aspect Sentiment Tuple Prediction”
