Regensburg Center Of Neuroscience
Neuroscience is a rapidly expanding field of life sciences characterized by a wide diversity of experimental and clinical disciplines. New insights into the structural and functional mechanisms of the nervous system have been achieved with pioneering advances in technology allowing for a better understanding of physiological and pathophysiological processes in the brain. Interdisciplinary approaches are needed to advance our understanding of brain function, thereby leading to cooperative activities between biology, chemistry, physics, medical science, computer science, psychology and philosophy.
The Regensburg Center of Neuroscience (RCN) fosters interdisciplinary research and teaching in experimental and clinical neurosciences at the University of Regensburg. RCN aims to support on-going and innovative teaching in the form of workshops, seminars and joint interdisciplinary lecture series. Its support of collaborative research funding and of young scientists is key to our initiative.
