In addition to sound planning of content and teaching methods, lecturers’ presentation skills are also crucial for successful teaching. A successful presentation requires well-structured content that is presented in a clear and understandable manner and supported by visual aids. Furthermore, the non-verbal behaviour of presenters plays a major role. This includes not only gestures and facial expressions, but also posture, proxemics and eye contact between the speaker and the audience.
During the course, quality factors and practical approaches relating to all the aspects mentioned will be introduced, practised and applied in a short presentation. The course concludes with individual coaching for participants.
This course is specifically designed for teachers in human medicine to address subject-specific criteria. 
Please prepare a short presentation of your own or an extract from one of your presentations (max. 5 minutes). This will be presented by all participants during the workshop and you will receive personalised feedback. For comprehensive 360° feedback, you may optionally record a video using your own smartphone.

After attending the workshop

• you will be able to structure medical learning content and present it clearly.
• you will be familiar with the key factors and practical applications of confident body language and vocal expression.
• you will have sharpened your awareness of how you are perceived by others and how you perceive yourself in terms of rhetorical aspects.
• you will be able to design media and visual aids in a way that enhances learning.
