Brief profile
Holdings
- Approx. 239,000 volumes
- of which approx. 80,000 journal volumes
- approx. 200 current printed journals
The Business and Economics Library acquires literature on the entire field of economics, in particular business administration, economics, economic history and real estate management. The focus is on current study and research literature. Monographs on the teaching and research specializations of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and reference works (dictionaries, encyclopaedias, handbooks, language dictionaries) are primarily acquired.
In addition, the Economics Library has an extensive collection in the field of historical doctrines and schools of economics. These include numerous first editions of the main works of the classical and neoclassical schools, the historical school and later movements such as Keynesianism. These works are generally kept in the stacks.
The collection is supplemented by printed journals and increasingly by e-media and subject-specific research tools.
