Workstations

Visually impaired and blind university members can use computer workstations equipped with special technology.
These are located in the Central Library on the ground floor, Room 5.19 C (external link, opens in a new window) (Route).

Equipment:

  • Speech output: Screen text or scanned text is read aloud
  • Braille display: Screen text is converted into Braille
  • Large screen with screen magnification software
  • Reading device with video camera; printed text is enlarged on screen
  • Windows-PC with software commonly found in computer rooms
  • Access to e-media available via the campus network
